About Bastien
Bastien Industries has been crafting moccasins since 1972, but they have a long history dating back to 1830 in Wendake with craftswoman Marguerite Vincent Lawinonkié. A people of diplomats, craftspeople, farmers, hunters and traders, the Wendat Nation has shaped the history of Northeastern North America for centuries. Through periods of growth since the 19th century, their moccasins are still all made in-house and they are now an internationally recognized brand. Bastien preserve time-honoured craftsmanship and respect traditional heritage and techniques thanks to their proud and dedicated team.
