About GoodBeast Design
Jesse Bromm is the man behind the Goodbeast glassblowing studio. He calls Vancouver home, which is on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations. Glass is an incredibly creative outlet, and Jesse uses this as an opportunity to work organically with the element. At the studio he uses recycled glass and reusable materials, and a no mold style. What makes the pieces unique is that even in a set of four cups that visually look the same, your hand recognizes and remembers the difference between each one. This fosters an intimate relationship between people and the pieces that they choose to bring into their homes. What drives him? Well I have a lot of fun pushing the process and coming up with new ideas in an organic manner and then trying to problem solve and troubleshoot what I love about the results into (relatively) standardized products (most of the time).”
