Moccasins

These moccasins are hand crafted by Jamie Gentry of the Kwakwaka’wakw Nation. She cuts, sows, and carves every single piece, pouring a tremendous amount of love into each set. Jamie is an internationally recognized artist in this craft. She was always drawn to working with her hands, and once she found a teacher in Sooke, a town on Vancouver Island, to teach her moccasin making, she’s never looked back.
Combining traditional design with modern style and durability, each pair of moccasins is hand crafted from locally sourced hide and feature a vibram sole. Enjoy the timeless beauty of these custom made traditional moccasins.

Additional Details
A note from Jamie. "Is it cultural appropriation to wear moccasins if I am not Indigenous?" No. Supporting and buying Indigenous made ensures that you are purchasing authentically made. Not only are you supporting the artist’s work, you are also supporting their family and their community as most artists give back to their communities.
