About Mini Tipi
Trisha Pitura and Mélanie Bernard, are the duo behind MINI TIPI. They founded MINI TIPI in 2016, with the vision to create small batch quality goods for your home and family. Home for them is on the unceded territories of the Algonquin nation, also known as Gatineau, Quebec. Each of their products are designed, cut, and sewn within the province. Their designs are inspired by their lifestyles, but also by the proud Canadian and Indigenous heritage they embody. The community is what drives them, and though being an entrepreneur “takes every strength you didn’t know you had”, they will continue to push to make a difference and be the change they want to see. It’s so much bigger than just a product, these textiles are beautiful captures of stories and memories. For Trisha Pitura and Mélanie, it’s their hope “...that our customers connect to the significance of the design, develop an interest in the indigenous culture and use or wear the product with pride.”
