Forest Etiquette Cleansing Balm

Sale price$34.00 CAD

A cleansing balm is the perfect first step to your skincare ritual. The slow and intentional massage works the tension out of your face at the end of the day.

This rich, cushiony oleogel is infused with sustainably wild-harvested white pine resin carried in a blend of organic jojoba, squalane, castor, and sunflower seed oils. On contact with water, it melts to a light milk, lifting sunscreen and makeup while keeping skin comfortable and moisturized. This balm is non-stripping and won't leave your skin feeling tight.

Use it alone or as the first step in a double cleanse. Either way, it's the kind of ritual that earns its place in an evening.

  • Contents

    60ml recyclable/reusable glass jar w/ metal lid.

  • Care Instructions

Always begin with a spot test to check sensitivity to new products.

  • Additional Details

The West Coast has a significant influence on Forest Etiquette with about 80% of the whole plants that Kristen uses in her products either locally grown and harvested or wildcrafted on Vancouver Island.

  • Ingredients

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Sucrose Laurate, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil*, Squalane, Pinus strobus Resin*, Glycerin*, Aqua/Water/Eau, Sucrose Stearate, Sucrose Palmitate, Tocopherol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Cymbopogon Martini Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Salvia Sclarea Oil, Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Sorbic Acid *Organic / Wild-Harvested / Farm Direct

  • How To Use

With clean, dry hands, remove 1/2 teaspoon from the jar and close the lid to ensure no water enters the jar. Rub hands together to soften the balm and then apply to entire face (and neck if desired). Gently massage in a circular motion for 2-5 minutes. You may begin to feel small grains on your skin, and this is simply small particles being dislodged from pores. Once you have finished massaging, wet your hands and continue to massage in a circular motion. The balm will begin to change from clear to white and it's ready to be removed. Wipe off with a warm, clean damp facial washcloth, or rinse with clean, warm water.

About FOREST ETIQUETTE

Meet Kristen Lambourne, founder of Forest Etiquette. She started her business in 2019 on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The self-care items she creates combine traditional herbalism with natural actives, making hero products with the best of both plant magic and science power. Each item is hand-crafted by Kristen, using natural, organic, and wildcrafted ingredients. Kristen grew up on a farm surrounded by greenery and animals and developed a love of gardening and nutrition. Those passions grew into a dedication to wildcrafting, plants, and herbalism. For those who are new to the term, wildcrafting is an alternative word for foraging. It felt like a natural progression to move toward creating skin and self-care products.
