This design uses is a fundamental pattern drafting technique, where patterns are slashed open and spread.
Designer Warren Steven Scott's mission is to design a modern image of fashion pictured through an Indigenous lens. His collection of earrings is inspired by the designs and motifs of his ancestors

These unique earrings draw on traditional indigenous design techniques, evoking the image of two elders talking.
