Lidded Vessel #1
This one-of-a-kind lidded vessel was made in collaboration by Jen and Devin of Miller + Co.
Jen starts with a granite grey clay vessel with white glaze. After firing, brown flecking shows on the ridges. Once that is complete, Devin creates a made-to-fit lid. This lid was hand turned from wind fall white oak that was rift cut to showcase the medullary rays of this wood. Also known as "tiger stripes" these are the horizontal rays that extend from the core of the tree towards the bark.
The perfect marriage of their skills. Safe for food storage or beautiful as decor.

About Miller + Co. Wood and Pottery
Devin and Jen are husband and wife makers. They started Miller + Co Wood Studio and Pottery together in 2013 in Ontario, recently relocating to Cowichan Valley, Duncan, BC to put down roots. Miller + Co Wood Studio (Devin) is currently focusing on lathe turned goods. Once his permanent shop is re-established he will resume crafting his distinctive furniture designs alongside his turning and other wood-good offerings.
